Boston Teachers Union School opens.

It is located in the former Parkman School at 25 Walk Hill Street. The school initially enrolls 150 students in grades K-2 and 6. Plans call for it to eventually house students in K-8. The school has no principal, with two teachers sharing responsibility for day-to-day administration.
